Local Rule 14
CHECKLIST
OF ISSUES
14. (A) Counsel for each party in
which a jury trial has been requested shall submit to the Court ten (10) days
prior to the date of trial a check list of those issues which he believes,
either as plaintiff or defendant, will be involved in the trial of the case,
and further which he believes the Court should include in its charge to the
jury. For example, speed, stop sign, contributory negligence, preferential
right of way, last clear chance, etc.
The furnishing of same will assist the Court in its preparation for
trial and its charge to the jury. It will also make counsel more aware of the
issues in the case and whether or not the Court is properly covering the issues
in its charge.
